In my regular journal, I always post a note about three things I learned during the course of my day. Here’s today’s list:
- Either I really drive slowly or others drive as though they are on a NASCAR track. While in New Milford driving down River Road, a person in his SUV behind me was right on my back bumper. When someone does this to me, I slow down to annoy them more. What caused me think about how fast or slow I drive was seeing this man yelling as he drove. I was driving about 25, 30 MPH – at or above the speed limit by a bit. I wasn’t crawling. But Dale Earnhardt’s long lost brother wanted me to drive faster. I think I learned that some people shouldn’t get behind the wheel when they want to speed.
- I put together a new roll-around desk this afternoon. For a long while I’ve wanted something where I can move around and work on my laptop without having to sit on my hopefully soon to be uncushioned rear end, What I learned is that the TopJob company has terrific, easy to assemble products. The desk was put together in twenty minutes and the BOBA chair took only three. It was packed with care and taking the pieces out of the box was simple with minimal junk. I believe IKEA should learn something from this company about packing easy-to-build products.
- I really like it when the weather gets cool and comfortable in August. I’ve been smiling all day.
